Adjusting and saving charts
Which charts exist
- Group comparison: bars, points with mean or box plot; with two groups also the ROC curve.
- Distribution: numbers as histogram (optionally with normal curve), box plot or Q-Q plot; categories as bars (horizontal) or columns (vertical), as count or percent.
- Crosstab: columns side by side or stacked to 100%; shown are percent in the group or the number of people.
- Regression: residuals against predicted values and Q-Q plot of the residuals (show whether the assumptions fit).
- Factor analysis: scree plot (eigenvalues).
- Others, depending on the question: scatter plot, before-after, course over time points, forest and funnel plot, Kaplan-Meier curve, path diagram.
- Statable offers no pie chart: bars can be compared more precisely, because the eye judges lengths better than angles and areas.
Adjusting
Under "Adjust chart" on the page you can change:
- Type: bars, points with mean, box plot; "Show individual people" adds the raw values.
- Bars around the mean: standard deviation or 95% CI.
- Label of the vertical axis, width (half page, full width) and black-and-white for print.
It is saved as an image (PNG) or SVG; in the report the chart appears as adjusted.
