Kaplan-Meier (time to event)

The Kaplan-Meier estimator shows, for every point in time, what proportion of people has not yet experienced the event (for example still studying, or has not yet reached the learning goal). It also uses people who were observed only up to a certain time (censored) and gives a step curve that drops a little at every event.

Example: Of 118 people, 107 experienced the event; the median time is 303 (95% CI [226, 390]).

Caution: The method assumes that leaving the observation is unrelated to the risk. At the right end of the curve only a few people are usually still at risk; the curve is uncertain there.
