Correlation matrix

For three or more number columns, the correlation matrix shows every relationship with every other at once: r (Pearson) or rs (Spearman) in the lower triangle, plus n, p and the 95% confidence interval per pair. Gaps are handled pairwise. The Holm correction adjusts the p values for the number of pairs.

Example: Five columns give ten pairs. Without correction one pair has p = .017, after Holm p = .051 - with many pairs one easily falls below .05 by chance.

Caution: Testing many pairs at once means some will be "clear" by chance. If you had a specific question beforehand, report that pair; if you are just searching, use Holm. A relationship is not a cause.
