Typical error (TE)
The typical error is the typical deviation of a single measurement on repetition, in the unit of measurement. It is calculated from the differences between two measurements of the same people (SD of the differences divided by √2).
Example: TE = 0.48 s, 95% CI [0.36, 0.70]: a single sprint time typically deviates by 0.48 seconds.
Caution: It only holds if nothing changed between the measurements. It is not the standard error of measurement from the reliability.
