Mean (M)

The mean is the average: add up all values and divide by how many there are.

Example: Group "no": 43 people have 2,611 points in total. 2,611 divided by 43 is 60.72.

Caution: A few very high or very low values pull the mean along. In that case the median also helps - the middle value of the series (here 61).
