The "Data" page
The page shows the table: one row per person, one column per characteristic. The original file is never changed.
- Cells can be edited directly; "Add row" and "Add column" extend the table.
- Column headers can be shown as names, labels or vertically.
- "Describe columns" opens the page where you define what each column contains.
- "Case weight" sets a column as the weight of the rows (frequency or survey weight); it gets a mark in its header, and rows with the weight 0 or without a weight are grey. See the article "Case weight".
- "Save data as Excel file" and "as SPSS file" export the table.
- The data check on opening points out irregularities (see separate article).
- "Start an analysis" leads to the next step.
Every change can be taken back with "Undo" (the curved arrow at the top right).
